Nutritional Counselling
Nutritional Consultations
If your adult dog or cat is in good health, you might have picked their food based on what they like to eat or what fits your budget. But not all pet foods offer the same nutritional value, and determining the right portion size isn’t always as straightforward as following the packaging instructions, which are meant to be general guidelines
Selecting the right diet is an important step toward supporting your furry companion's long-term health. A well-balanced nutritional plan can help prevent issues like allergies, deficiencies, skin and coat problems, and obesity.
Every cat and dog has unique dietary needs that depend on factors such as age, breed, and overall health.
Our veterinarians are here to guide you in making the right choices for your cat or dog's nutrition. We’ll help you select the best foods based on your four-legged friend's health and your budget, determine proper portion sizes, and understand how to read pet food labels. Whether you need a custom nutrition plan or support in helping your pet reach a healthy weight, we’re here to help.

The Dietary Counselling Process
A dietary consultation begins by our veterinarian performing a physical examination and health assessment on your cat or dog to better understand their unique nutritional requirements. Using this information, we’ll create a personalized diet plan tailored to support their overall well-being.
In some cases, we may suggest prescription diet products if they offer specific benefits that standard pet foods don’t provide.
Since your pet’s nutritional needs can change over time – especially with age – we’ll periodically review and adjust the plan to ensure it continues to meet their needs effectively.
